Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our process, approach, and how we work with clients.

How do we start an engagement?

+

We start with a discovery call where we learn about your organization, challenges, and goals. This is a conversation—no pressure, no demos. If there's a fit, we'll follow up with a proposal outlining scope, timeline, and investment range. Everything is customized to your needs, not a template we force-fit.

What types of organizations do you work with?

+

Our ideal clients are established service companies, operationally complex B2B firms, professional services organizations, logistics teams, healthcare-adjacent businesses, and growth-stage companies—typically in the United States. We work with organizations that value thoughtful design and aren't looking for the cheapest option. They want partners who understand their business.

What's included in a discovery phase?

+

Discovery includes user research, stakeholder interviews, workflow documentation, competitive analysis, and journey mapping. We observe how your team actually works, talk to your customers, and identify opportunities and constraints. The outcome is a detailed strategic recommendation and project roadmap. This typically takes 4–8 weeks.

How are you involved with my team during development?

+

We work as an extension of your team. You'll have direct access to your project lead, weekly check-ins, and regular demos of work in progress. We involve your team in key decisions and iterate based on feedback. Communication is clear and frequent—no surprises at the end.

Who owns the software after we're done?

+

You do. We deliver source code, documentation, and full ownership of your custom software. You own all intellectual property. We can support you long-term with maintenance and new features, but you're never locked in. If you want to take the codebase elsewhere, you can.

Do you handle integrations with our existing systems?

+

Yes. We work with your existing tech stack—ERPs, CRMs, accounting systems, databases, and APIs. We design integrations that sync data reliably and handle edge cases. This is part of discovery: understanding what systems exist and how they should connect.

What about accessibility and compliance?

+

Every product we build meets WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards by default. This includes keyboard navigation, screen reader support, color contrast, and usability testing with real users. We also discuss compliance requirements specific to your industry and bake them into design and development from the start.

What's a typical project timeline?

+

Discovery: 4–8 weeks. End-to-end product delivery: 4–6 months depending on complexity. Smaller projects might be 8–12 weeks. We're honest about timelines and avoid over-promising. Scope, complexity, and availability all affect duration—we'll give you accurate estimates during our discovery conversation.

What kind of support do you offer after launch?

+

We offer flexible post-launch support: retainer agreements for ongoing work, hourly project rates for ad-hoc requests, or embedded team members for organizations with continuous development needs. We monitor performance, collect user feedback, and continuously optimize. We can also train your internal team to maintain the product independently.

How do you handle security?

+

Security is built into our development process from day one. We follow OWASP guidelines, perform security audits, and implement industry-standard practices for authentication, data encryption, and access control. We'll discuss your specific security and compliance requirements during discovery and ensure the product meets them.

Can we work with your team remotely?

+

Yes, we work entirely remotely. Collaboration happens through video calls, shared documentation, and project management tools. We're accustomed to distributed teams and maintain effective communication across time zones. Your team doesn't need to be in the same location as us.

How do I request a formal proposal?

+

Contact us through our website or call us directly. We'll schedule a discovery conversation to understand your needs, answer your questions, and determine if there's a good fit. If there is, we'll follow up with a detailed proposal including scope, timeline, team, deliverables, and investment. No pressure.
